The Girl, the Toy Cat and the World Under the Bed – Sun 1 Nov, 11am

Shadow theatre, recommended age 3+

Sunday 1 November 2026, 11am at Board & Brewed, 75 York Road, Dún Laoghaire.

A touching story about courage, friendship and the magic hidden in the darkness. Told with hand-cut shadow puppets on a painted folk-art stage, it follows a girl and her toy cat as they discover the world under the bed is not as frightening as it seems. Gentle, funny and just the right length for small children.

Then make your own puppet. After the show there's a puppet-making masterclass: the children cut and build their own shadow puppet to take home and try out on the stage. It's included in your ticket.

• Child: €10
• Adult: €5
• Family ticket: €20 for one adult and two children

The show runs about 40 minutes, with the masterclass after. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The café is open before and after, so come early for a coffee and a pastry.

Your order confirmation is your ticket. Just show it on the day.
