From the moment you arrive on Friday evening until checkout on Sunday at noon, the weekend is yours. Open gaming runs all weekend long, with a stocked library of board games, dedicated wargaming and tabletop battle space, and hosted sessions you can drop in and out of as you please.

Bring Your Crew

The Glendalough Gaming Retreat is built with groups in mind. If you've got a regular gaming group, a club, or just a solid crew of mates who are always up for a session, this is the perfect excuse to get everyone together somewhere special.

Groups of 8 or more will be prioritised for shared rooms, and larger groups can take over entire rooms for a truly immersive experience. Solo attendees are equally welcome — you'll be matched into shared rooms and introduced to a weekend's worth of new gaming partners.

The Accommodation

Rooms at the hostel range from large shared dorms to smaller group rooms. Rather than choosing a room at checkout, room allocation is handled after booking. This allows the organisers to ensure the best possible setup for both groups and individuals — keeping friend groups together and making sure everyone has a great experience.

The Location

Glendalough needs very little introduction. The name translates as "valley of two lakes," and the setting is every bit as dramatic as that sounds. Ancient monastic ruins, forested hillsides, crystal-clear lakes, and mountain trails surround the hostel on all sides.
